 Steps to Submit Product Addition

Gather the necessary documents Organic Certifiers will need for our compliance review.

This includes, but is not limited to product listing, product formula, spec sheets, current organic supplier certificates, non-organic ingredient affidavits, (etc.). View Blank Forms here.

Submit the documents by completing the Product Request Form here

Respond to any additional requests for more information if contacted by your Certification Specialist (as needed).  

Receive a copy of your Organic Certificate with the new product listed (if approved). 

Need to add, remove or make changes to products on your organic certificate? 

Clients must submit product additions, removals and updates using the Product Request Form.

Organic Claims Explained

​

100% Organic: All ingredients must be certified 100% Organic (and processing aids must be certified Organic) and no non-organic agricultural ingredients can be used (excluding water/salt).

​

Organic: >95% of the ingredients, by weight or fluid volume, must be certified Organic or 100% Organic. The remaining <5% of ingredients must be on the National List, either regulation 205.605 or 205.606.

 

Made with Organic (specified ingredients): >70% of the ingredients, by weight or fluid volume, must be certified Organic or 100% Organic. The remaining <30% may be non-organic agricultural ingredients and/or must be listed in 205.605, per the NOP’s definition and parameters and approved by Organic Certifiers. Cannot display USDA Organic Seal on label.
