Organic Certifiers Client Update – 4th Quarter 2025
Thank you for continuing to work with Organic Certifiers (OC) as your NOP certification agency. This has been a year full of growth and improvements, all designed to better support both our clients and our staff. We’re excited to share some of the highlights with you!
🌿 2025 Wins
SupplyTrak Database Launch
In August, we moved to our new database system, SupplyTrak, which helps us manage certification operations more efficiently.
This upgrade is a big step forward—databases are the backbone of how we serve you!
With SupplyTrak, you can now:
-
Log in to view the status of your certification and requests.
-
Respond to Notices and submit new requests directly in the portal.
-
Gain increased visibility of approved documents and ongoing updates over time.
If you haven’t accessed your SupplyTrak portal yet, reach out to your Certification Specialist or email info@occert.com and we’ll get you set up.
👥 Staffing Updates
We’ve made some exciting additions and promotions this year to strengthen our certification and inspection programs:
-
Aaron Turner, Director of Operations – joined in February, bringing 20+ years of certification and consulting experience.
-
Austin Hoefs and Lynne Ramos, newly promoted Certification Program Supervisors – each with 10+ years of certification and industry expertise – to oversee our Certification Specialists.
-
Kelly Abbott, Certification Program Manager – joined in September with 20+ years in certification leadership to oversee our Certification Program.
-
Jonathan Surrency, Inspection Program Coordinator – brings over a decade of auditing and inspection management experience to oversee our Inspection Department.
With this team in place, OC is fully staffed and ready to take on the challenges ahead.
⚙️ Certification Improvements
We’re using the move to SupplyTrak as an opportunity to make our processes more efficient and client-friendly. Here’s what’s new:
-
Renewal Date Changes: We’re shifting from monthly renewals to two annual renewal cycles (January and April). This change will help with planning, reduce inspection costs, and better support our inspectors. (Your fees will be prorated based on your previous renewal month.)
-
Updated Fee Schedule: A simplified structure is on the way—removing acreage fees and moving all client’s certification fees to an organic sales model, as well as including fee schedule policies.
-
New OSP Forms: We’re transitioning to the Common OSP for all Crop and Handler scope clients, a soon-to-be industry standard. This means a simpler, more consistent experience whether you use the Word version or complete it through the QuickOrganics app.
💻 QuickOrganics Partnership
We’re excited to partner with QuickOrganics, creators of the TurboTax for Organic Certification. Their app helps you complete your OSP and manage certification data all in one place.
👉 Join our live webinar to see how it works:

Bonus: QuickOrganics has provided OC customers with 50 discount codes per renewal date, offering 20% off their annual subscription. These codes will be included in your renewal email—first come, first served!
🌱 Looking Ahead
All these changes—our new systems, updated forms, and expanded team—are designed to improve your experience and strengthen organic certification for everyone.
We deeply appreciate your partnership and the important work you do to grow, make, and sell organic products for communities everywhere.
We’re in this together, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
Sincerely,
Aaron Turner

Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP) Funded Through 2031
We are pleased to inform you that the USDA's Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP) received $8 million per year through 2031 in the 2025 U.S. congressional budget reconciliation (link).
OCCSP provides cost share assistance to producers and handlers of agricultural products who are obtaining or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program (NOP). Certified operations may receive up to 75 percent of their certification costs paid during the program year, not to exceed $750 per certification scope.
Eligible OCCSP applicants include any certified organic producers or handlers who have paid organic certification fees to a USDA-accredited certifying agent.
Cost share assistance covers expenses including application fees, inspection costs, fees related to equivalency agreement and arrangement requirements, inspector travel expenses, user fees, sales assessments and postage. OCCSP pays a maximum of $750 per certification category for crops, wild crops, livestock, processing/handling, and state organic program fees (California only).
Please note: the USDA has not yet updated their OCCSP webpage to provide information related to applications for the 2025 certification year, however, you may contact your local USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) office or your state's Department of Agriculture to learn more about application deadlines and required documentation. We will provide updates regarding the USDA OCCSP for 2025 and beyond as we receive them.
