Description:
Organic Certifiers is hiring a Certification Specialist (Handling) to evaluate organic certification applications, assess compliance with USDA NOP standards, and serve as a key liaison between clients and our certification team. This role includes document reviews, report writing, technical support, and making certification decisions.
Qualifications:

Knowledge of USDA NOP standards

Experience in organic production or handling

Education or training in agriculture, food systems, food science, or related fields

Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills

Job Opening: Contract Inspector Opportunities with OC for 2025 and Beyond

Are you an experienced organic inspector looking to partner with a mission-driven organization? Organic Certifiers (OC) is continuously seeking individuals to support our certification services.
What We Are Looking For:  
Experienced organic inspectors who are:
-
Competent inspector of Crop, Livestock, or Handling scopes.

Possess a thorough understanding of USDA National Organic Program standards and Trade Agreements with other countries.

Impart strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.  
-
Are technologically capable of learning and working in online systems.
-
Maintain ongoing training as required by SOE.
-
Have current availability to travel within designated areas.  
Where we need assistance:
We are seeking contract inspectors to fulfill specific needs in the following geographic areas - whether it’s your home region or regularly travel to these areas and wish to expand your inspection portfolio.  
California:

Santa Barbara/Carpinteria/Oxnard area

Northern CA and north Central Valley area (specifically with Livestock experience)
